BRIGHT LIGHTS, DARK FLAMES
Hayk Melikyan
“I am God! I am nothing… I am freedom.” Scriabin’s visionary piano world finds vivid expression in Hayk Melikyan’s deeply personal interpretations, tracing the composer’s journey from lyrical Romanticism to ecstatic mysticism of his late style. The piano becomes a laboratory of spirit, where light and darkness, desire and transcendence intertwine. Spanning early miniatures to late, enigmatic works, this album offers compelling insights into Scriabin’s philosophy of sound as self-knowledge—an immersive, transformative listening experience.
